Sealing Methods

A. Mechanical Seal

For low-density, low-concentration liquids that can run at high speed.

High-quality mechanical seals rated up to 240℃. Seal types:

  1. Standard NBR
  2. Heat-resistant Viton
  3. Chemical-grade

B. Packing

For highly liquefiable, high-concentration liquids.

Three packing materials:

  1. PTFE asbestos
  2. PTFE
  3. Graphite

Rated up to 200℃, selectable to customer requirements.

PS: Mechanical seals can be customised to customer requirements.

• Refer to the outlet capacity in the specification table; convert to approximate capacity by viscosity. The higher the viscosity, the lower the relative capacity.

Operating Notes

  • The pump must hold liquid before starting; avoid dry running to preserve pump performance.
  • Flush the pipework after installation to prevent metal debris from entering and damaging the pump.
  • The suction pipe must not be smaller than the pump bore, to maintain performance.
  • If unusual noise occurs during operation, stop immediately and check for debris in the pump, pipe blockage or insufficient liquid.
  • When sediment or solidification occurs, flush with a suitable liquid before stopping operation.
  • Fit a strainer ahead of the suction pipe to prevent debris from being drawn into the pump.
  • Do not fit a relief valve or check valve for high-viscosity liquids.
  • Open all inlet and outlet valves fully before operation, to avoid excess pressure damaging the seal and pump.
